FAQ

FEES & YOUR BUDGET

Your budget should be the easy part.  Ken’s philosophy is very simple, “Make Doing Business with You Easy!”

NOBODY LIKES SURPRISES so we use a no-surprises fee structure.  We frequently hear from event planners who have been surprised with huge, un-expected airline and travel related expenses.  So, with Ken’s simple fee structure, IT’S ALL INCLUDED.

Speaking fees vary significantly depending on:

  •  Date
  •  Location
  •  Program Length
  •  Audio & Book Sales
  •  Etc

Many clients engage Ken to deliver a keynote, designed presentation and multiple breakout sessions at the same conference. This will maximize your budget and reinforce a consistent message.

Ken’s fee is per event.  Once he’s committed to you, he can’t work elsewhere.  So the difference between speaking for 15 minutes or 90 minutes is not an issue.  Typically, the fee is a bit more for program over a half-day, but only slightly.

Regardless of your budget, if Ken might be a good fit for your event, contact us with the details.  We’ll do all we can to accommodate you.

HOW DOES KEN PREPARE FOR A PRESENTATION?

Ken wants to know you AND the audience he’ll be working with.  He’s one of the few speakers who does this for every event.  You’ll be discussing not only the logistics of your event, but the challenges and opportunities your group faces.  He’ll also likely speak with a number of the attendees and get their feedback as well.

This doesn’t mean he will speak on anything.  Rather, he will speak with his expertise but make it applicable, relevant and personalized to your group.  Often we hear, “that message was just for us,” and “how did he know so much about us?”

Ken always comes prepared for each program with topics that are fresh, current and memorable.

WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF YOUR PRESENTATIONS?

Depending on the type of program you need, Ken will adjust his presentations according.  Typically they are as follows:

  • Keynote 30 to 60 minutes
  • Breakouts As requested
  • Mini Program One to two hours
  • Half Day Three Hours (generally one break)
  • Full Day Five to Seven Hours  (generally two breaks)

PROGRAM MATERIALS

Ken will supply you with a customized PDF for your program which can be easily reproduced for everyone attending.  The last page of the handout is an evaluation.  You will receive copies of all these for future reference.

It’s a great way to see how your group reacted to Ken’s presentation.  He’s one of the few speakers that helps client see the results!

CONTRACTS & DEPOSITS

In order to secure a date, we request a signed contract (or memorandum of understanding) and a 50% deposit.  Ken will initiate his travel plans once a deposit and contract are received.  The balance of the fee is due at the time of the event.

In over 25 years, Ken has:

  •  NEVER been late for a program
  •  NEVER failed to finish a program
  •  NEVER cancelled a program

In the unlikely event this ever should occur, 100% of your deposit is refundable.

WHERE DOES KEN TRAVEL FROM?

Ken frequently will travel from wherever his last program was; although he has offices in Georgia, Ohio & Lake Chapala (Mexico).

SUIT OR NO SUIT?

Ken generally wears a suit and tie.  He believes professional speakers should be dressed slightly better than the best-dressed person in the audience.

Some groups, like the younger Millennial Generation, may prefer a more business casual attire.  Please let us know what would be appropriate for your audience.  Ken will be happy to dress accordingly for your group.

ARE KEN’S BOOKS AVAILABLE FOR PRE-EVENT ORDERING OR BULK PURCHASE?

Yes, high quantity orders can be placed through his office for a discount.  Give us a call at 888-823-4945 or e-mail us @ [email protected] for more information.
